First glances of my classroom since I left it in June. We had to take down everything because we got new plaster walls (no more carpet walls) and we got choose one colour to be a 'focus' wall, so I chose green. Now my mind is thinking up many ideas for how to decorate around and including this green wall, not many days left to contemplate what things will look like for September...

THE SKY WAS DULL AND HYPOTHETICAL
Looks like summer is coming to an end with all these cloudy days around. Pictures from Instagram, of Vancouver, Steveston, and buying things for back to school. Come follow me on Instagram by clicking the icon on the right sidebar :)

REVEAL THEMSELVES ONE STAR AT A TIME
Spent the weekend in Squamish for the music festival there, seems like one last hoorah before the summer ends. Nestled in the valley with skyhigh mountains surrounding the stages, I swear Squamish is the ideal setting for a series of concerts. Favourite times were running into many friends from Vancouver I didn't know would be there, listening to Wintersleep from the beer garden, head banging along to the head-banging members of The Sheepdogs, singing in call-and-response to Courage with The Tragically Hip, and watching in awe Dallas Green sing perfectly in tune every City and Colour song. Totally got my picture of The Hip up on the bigscreen photo montage as well, pretty sweet. Oh, and spending the weekend with my love, who I met at Live at Squamish last year. Awww.

THE LIGHT IN YOUR EYES
I'll never tire of fast rides and spinny rides, I love that feeling like you might ride right off the tracks. But nothing beats the food at the PNE, that mix of sweet smells, mini donuts and cotton candy, intoxicating. And the lights at nighttime, ah there's just something about it. I can't ever turn down a trip to the fair.

TURNED INTO A LIFE THAT WE CAN LIVE
I'm happy to go away in the summer, but I totally love spending time in Vancouver. Sailboating in English Bay, mini golf at Cultus Lake, sun tanning at a Canadians game, even taking a nap in my apartment... all great ways to relax before school starts again. School starts again? Ah!

DRIFTIN
Out on the sunshine coast, they don't call it that for nothing. Beautiful weather the past two days, perfect for boating and hiking, crib playing and blackberry picking, and hours of tanning. What more could you ask for?

WOULD YOU REALLY RUSH OUT FOR ME NOW?
So amazing to be back in the arms of my sweetheart once again, only to go away camping for the weekend and find out that two of my best friends might be moving to the other side of the country. That's the thing with getting older it seems. People come into your life and then leave just as easily. You must enjoy every time you have with them.
